Next week is the first week of the box program. The Wind Whipped radishes are sizing up quickly while the
pac choi, spinach and kale are begging to be harvested. With the generous help of family and neighbors we have also been hard at work raising our new greenhouse. Molly Buchanan (daughter of John and Lorraine at Parry Bay Sheep Farm) has prepared the meat boxes for next week. Veggie boxes are sold out but we do have some meat boxes left. We also now have two Metchosin egg producers. We are charging $6 per dozen per week, for a total of $96 for the duration of the program (16 weeks).
For this first pick-up, we ask members to please:
- Bring your first payment (cheque or cash) if you have not already sent it to us.
- Bring your own set of bags, ideally tote or plastic.
Below is a reminder of the dates and hours depending on the location members have requested:
- Monday June 10th, from 5 to 6PM, at the Cook Street Village Activity Centre: 380 Cook Street
- Wednesday June 12th, from 5 to 6PM, at the Victoria West Community Center: 521 Craigflower Rd
- Friday June 14th, from 4 to 5PM, at Wind Whipped Farm: 4645 B William Head Road.
